Welcome Back splash screen does not display correctly if an & is part of the name

In Version: 16.3.6628  .If the Profile Display Name contains an &  such as John & Kay it displays, Welcome Back John & Kay when the customer logs back into Smartermail.  Are special characters no longer allowed in Version: 16.3.6628
