Is there any hope for allowing multiple e-mail addresses on a contact?

We've just upgraded from 11.x to 16.x  I knew this was going to be a problem and we're already having tons of issues with it.

People want to be able to create a contact -- let's call it "Marketing Team" and add 20 e-mail addresses to it.  They don't want to have to create a category, add individual contacts to that category, then jump through a few other hoops.  Not to mention apparently having to add duplicate contacts because you can't change the category of someone in the global address list....

This is super frustrating and it seems like a simple thing that any e-mail client should be able to do.  So is there any hope you'll add this capability back in?

Hi Peter. This functionality exists. You would just need to create an Alias, and you can add that to the Global Address List.

Thanks Rod. I'm looking for ways for individual users to create a list of addresses assigned to a contact, as they could in previous versions. If using an alias, I guess I would have to do that for them, and I don't really want to have to create and edit aliases for 200+ users. I don't know when the ability for users to assign multiple addresses to a contact was removed, as we jumped from 11.x to 16 in one move. Maybe it's been gone awhile. I've confirmed that behavior like this still exists in other products like Gmail. At a minimum, it would be nice if someone from Smartertools could explain the logic behind this. I can' t offer an explanation to my end-users because it makes no sense to me.
