Hi everyone - first post so don't laugh.
Lately my clients have been reporting issues of sending email to gmail - either not being received or going into Spam.
I have read a lot over the past few days and realise that I need to setup dkim and dmarc and spf for all my domains that I host.
My question - Is this required only if my clients use mail.theirdomain.com as incoming/outgoing mail servers - Outlook, iphone, android - IMAP/POP3
If I have had all these spam dns entries added for my domain mail.smartermail-domain.com - can my clients use this domain instead?
What are - if any - the repercussions of doing this from a mail deliverabilty point of view??
OR - do I simply need to bite the bullet and set up all these DNS entries for all domains and advise that they use mail.theirdomain.com.
Can my clients just use the ip address of the smartermail server?? Is this advisable??
