Is there a way to use multiple public IP addresses to send out mail via SmarterMail SMTP server?

This can be usefull to handle blacklisting or other problem with our Smartermail servers...

Was this ever implemented in version 17?

If it was where can it be found?

The ability to rotate IP addresses for outbound delivery was added to SmarterMail. You can find this functionality the Outbound IPv4 and Outbound IPv6 settings which are found in Protocol settings.

Andrea:
Thanks.  I did a quick review to make sure we did not have rotating addresses enabled by default after one of the updates (it wasn't) and while there and also quickly running through the protocols, found an error in the manual.

At Protocol Settings - SmarterMail Help (smartertools.com) under IMAP | IMAP Banner, the list of variables is missing.

Thank you, Proto! We'll get this resolved :)

Thanks for your reply Andrea.

I have tried this before and again now and as far as I can tell it never rotates the IP address.

It may only rotate the IP when the first one fails, but was looking for a way to rotate the IP's without failure.

Yeah, that was our issue with IP rotation in SM. It doesn’t really… “rotate”. We have separate postfix gateways that handle delivery and do IP rotation.

This i not a "Rotate IP" option...
I's basically a "Failover IP" option.

We need a REAL "Rotate IP", like a round robin or similar option.
