Does SmarterMail 16 have a log of IP addresses of the DOS attacks?
Question asked by Benjamin Breedlove - 10/5/2017 at 2:03 PM
Unanswered
I want to block the IP addresses of those who may be performing DOS attacks, but I do not see a report showing the list of IP addresses that match the criteria that I defined in my IDS rules.

It does give the number of New Connections, Blocked Connections, Bad Connections, and Terminations BUT it is useless since I do not have the IP addresses to block or see if it is a legit site.  Is there a log or report that will give me that info?

Thanks.

Indeed, I also have not seen this. Also, it`s nice that you can see what IPs are currently blocked by IDS, for example, but it would be nicer if you could see right there a list like "previously blocked IPs".

I think that by default all IPs that wrong you in any way should be kept on an easily accessible list. Many times an attack will come again from one of these IPs and you need to know and correlate this.
