Unable to Send Emails to Accounts with Slashes or Backslashes

We upgraded this weekend and can see emails being sent to accounts with slashes without issue last week.
I can seem to add recipients to a message if they include a slash or back slash.
 
Any solutions?

We had this with ' such as in o'brian and the only workaround we found until they patched it was to have an e-mail that was from them and hover over their name or e-mail and select e-mail.

Any response to this from an official channel? I'm hearing it was patched for 15, we are on the most recent release.
