Can't add Cloud Services such as Dropbox or OneDrive
Problem reported by Brian Davidson - 7/22/2017 at 8:28 AM
Resolved
Version 16.1.6411

Unable to add cloud storage provider from a Mac (Safari and Chrome). In Safari, after providing Dropbox access the pop-up window cycles back to the inbox but does not add the cloud account. Same for Google Drive. Clicking the OneDrive link simply opens a blank window.

In Chrome, the links to the 3 cloud services do not work at all.
I have not yet had the opportunity to try it from Windows browsers.

Hi, Brian

I'm able to add Dropbox in Chrome on the Mac, no problem. However, I do see an issue with Safari. (I don't get a blank window..I get no window at all.).

For Google Drive, does your Google account have that wonderfully-named exception "Allow Less Secure Apps" enabled? Are you using 2-step verification on your account?

Derek,

I managed to get it working today on Chrome. Not sure what changed with Google Drive, but today it prompted me to unblock pop-up windows (didn't yesterday). That seems to have worked. Dropbox also began working, although I did nothing different from yesterday. Odd. The one issue is Chrome issues a dire warning about the security of the hostedsmartermail.com. Once I worked through that it connected.

So...maybe allowing pop-ups in Chrome did the trick?

It's possible, Brian. However, we DID notice some issues that were resolved in the last minor we published on 7/28. So I'm going to mark this as Resolved.
