Can you give a list of all open issues with SmarterMail version 16x? This is getting confusing.

This post if for the SmarterTools team. As i browse through the forums I see that a lot of folks are submitting problem reports in reference to SmarterMail 16 and its different builds. I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but it is getting confusing to try and keep up with everything. Is it possible for you guys to start a sticky post listing all valid issues that people have submitted and update that post as things are resolved? If not, do you guys have a public bug tracking system that all of us can log into to keep up with the issues? Thanks for your consideration.

Useless troll comment is useless... But I will feed it...

Nothing wrong with SmarterTools exposing (to licensed users) a tracker that has a generalized list of what is currently known, and what is currently being addressed. This would help cut down on tickets as well as forum posts for "Does anyone else have X issue" etc.

It is ridiculous to think the product is perfect, we know it has bugs, we know it has problems, A tracker system that gives a small general overview of them all to licensed users is not that big a deal.

Our development system as well has a public tracker to all of our customers to view currently known issues, what is being fixed, what is under review, what issues are being fixed in what release etc.

I would love to have a community as active as this one telling us the ways we can improve our software. Every negative comment is an opportunity to improve.

Very well said, Chris. Thank you for backing me on this.

We use various pieces of software, and 3 of them do expose a very simple list of bugs, even feature requests, what is currently confirmed, what is being worked on, an ETA on which bugs will be in what releases etc. It helps a ton! It would be great especially something like SmarterMail that is mission critical.

I am not saying they should give full exception stack traces etc. Just a quick overview. For example..

- BUG - Printing does not work in IE 11
- BUG - Attachments do not properly download in Safari

Just simple stuff.

We too are using many technologies in our company and really like the Open Source ones not necessarily because they are "free", but because of the transparency and the way you can contribute to them and adapt them as needed.

One their big pluses are their bug trackers and roadmaps. It would indeed be very useful if we could see the list of open issues / feature requests and their statuses for SmarterMail too.

Certainly a list of outstanding issues would be beneficial. Most of the regulars in this forum have jobs where SmarterMail is critical to their business and livelihood. We need timely information on problems & bugs to decide whether or not to roll out new versions, especially with new builds coming out every week. Google publishes known issues for G Suite admins: https://support.google.com/a/answer/6166309?hl=en

A roadmap would be beneficial as well. It's something that has been asked for in the past...

With good vendor support, we can keep our customers and management happy. And we'll come back to the vendor for renewals and to buy more. :)

A Roadmap would be really useful right now.. SM16 has gone from a weekly bugfix release to total silence now - we really do not know what to expect. There are a lot of issues that have been reported and I`m guessing that at least some have been worked on, but it`s hard to pacify our users with just "they`re working on it" without any clear time-line. Can we get some sort of a roadmap or release time-line in any shape or form possible?
