SM 16 UI Performance
Idea shared by Elazar Broad - 6/19/2017 at 1:29 PM
Proposed
I've enabled static content compression(technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754668(v=ws.10).aspx) and output caching(www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/caching) for the following extensions: js, css and html and have noticed some performance improvement after doing so. Does anyone else have these configuration options enabled? And more to the point - asking the SmarterTools folks - are there any drawbacks/negative impacts of having these options enabled for the SmarterMail application?

Thanks,
 Elazar

I am curious about this too since we have been messing with multiple IIS workers and other IIS settings.

Did you use kernel caching or just user-mode?

Kernel mode.

the UI performance sucks, 15 and before opens up immediately, where 16 takes like 30 secs to open up fully.. Thinking of going back to 15..
