SM16 logout on new window popup

We have quite a few users that have complained that they get logged out of smartermail whenever a new window popup happens such as when the user goes to new, reply, edit a draft, ect. Making sure the "remember me" flag is set on login helps; but sometimes it doesn't work quite right and they are still asked to put in their login information.

Is there any consistency to this? E.g., browser used, specific section of the interface, etc.?

I don't know if it happens on internet explorer; but I have seen it on both google chrome and firefox; latest builds of both. I have not been able to identify why it may affect one user and not another; but if it is affecting a user any time the window popup for an e-mail comes up it logs out; such as a new, reply, forward, editing a draft.

I originally had this happen when playing around on my iPhone using Safari but that was a couple of public releases ago. I just tried now and couldn't get it to happen again.

BTW - Safari on the iPhone still zooms textboxes as mentioned here (with an easy fix):
