Incoming Gateways Bounce 100% Emails after Upgrade
Problem reported by Scarab - 5/18/2017 at 9:11 AM
Resolved
So, how do I roll back from SM v16 to SM v15? I have never been so disappointed with a SM upgrade before and so furious.

In addition to countless minor issues we've encountered in the past few hours with the new Web Interface, ever since the upgrade SM has been bouncing 100% of all Incoming Email with a "550 - No Such User" here NDRs.

Turns out that since the API was changed any existing Incoming Gateways can no longer function as SmarterMail Gateways. I tried changing the SmarterMail URL in the Incoming Settings from https://server.mydomain.tld to https://server.mydomain.tld/interface/root and  https://server.mydomain.tld/api/v1 but neither works.

Fine, I'll upgrade one of the Incoming Gateways as well...Still doesn't work.

Was anything on v16 tested in a Live environment prior to release?

This is a game-breaker for us. It looks like we will be migrating to another product today as Mail is far too critical for our customers to wait for Technical Support.

I am hoping against hope that v15 will continue to be supported for some time. There are some unresolved issues with v15, it seems, from what I'm reading on this forum.

Paul, SM 15 will continue to be supported. It is our policy to actively support the current version (16) and one version previous (15).

We did a release of 15.x just yesterday. We have releases coming out our ears right now :)

Hmm so the version is clearly still a Beta. And one would assume if your upgrading a live environment to a Beta you would have a test environment to check these things. If not making comments like ' I have never been so disappointed with a SM upgrade before and so furious.' is unwarranted because anyone upgrading a live environment prior to any testing could be potentially considered pretty stupid
