Brute Force & DoS Notifications - Can they Include Account Information?
Idea shared by Tim DeMeza - 4/3/2017 at 1:07 PM
Proposed
I was going though my SMTP Brute Force and DoS email notifications today and wondered if it would be possible to have the account that triggered the event shown in the email.  It would be nice to know if a single account is being targeted due to publicly posted email addresses, etc.  Then we can ensure and enforce the best possible passwords for those specific accounts.  I realize this should be done anyway, however, it one person or a couple of persons are being targeted, if would make sense to focus efforts on ensuring those folks had solid passwords.

Thank you.

Hello Tim, and thanks for posting in our community forums. I've submitted this idea as a feature request to our SmarterMail development team for consideration in the future. Thanks Tim!

Hey Tim,

I agree that this is a valid request; however, I'm sorry to report that it won't make it into the SmarterMail 16 release. I'm going to move this request into the standard SmarterMail category so we can continue tracking after we shut down these BETA threads.
