Disk Usage Report

I have an email domain that uses about 1.2GB of space that I can see in the Disk Usage Report. I want to keep the domain and email addresses for now, but I deleted all the old mail for every user and did a purge as well. But when I run the Disk Usage Report for this domain it still show the same 1.2GB of space used. I restarted the SM service but can't figure out why the disk space isn't being freed up after deleting all mail for all users in this domain. Is there some scheduled process that runs to update disk usage information? Thanks for any help you can provide.
