This has been repeatedly discussed in these forms, so I'm only going to say this once, and not argue with you, or anyone else.
Install on a 64 bit server operating system, and make,certain all .NET 4.5 updatea and patches, even the,elective .NET 4.5,patches are enabled.
Update your security registry to block all DNS - now depreciated, and no longer allowed, and ENABLE TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 - per my instructions at https://portal.chicagonettech.com. Everything you'll need is there.
Disabled the SmarterMail web server, and install Microsoft IIS, preferably with an SSL certificate.
There are a lmited number of ports on standard OSs, and both IIS, POP, SMTP, and IMAP keep multiple ports open, for long periods of time.
