Reports list 0 Visits, but have page views and hits

I have SmarterStats 8.5 and in some reports, I am seeing 0 visits, but there are page views and hits. I would have imagined that in order to have a page view or a hit, there would need to be at least 1 visit.
 
What conditions could lead to this and how do we go about fixing it?
