Problems getting Declude to run with Smartermail 15.x

For the past year I've been trying to get Declude to install on a gateway server running Smartermail 15.x free edition.  I'd like to use it specifically for managing Message Sniffer results.  I've downloaded the package from MailsBestFriend, installed without a hitch, but when I attempt to enable in SM, I got the following message:
 
"Your settings have been saved but Declude could not be enabled as it was not detected to be running"
 
When I check Services in Windows, it indeed is stopped, but when I start it, I get the following message:
 
"The Decludeproc service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
 
I've tried installing, reinstalling, updating, multiple server restarts, etc.  Just can't quite seem to figure it out.  Anyone else run across this issue or have any clues of how to solve it?
 
Server is Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.

Just an update.. I was able to resolve Ryan's issue today. The reason why the Decludeproc service was not able to start was because he didn't have a domain set up in Smartermail. In order for Decludeproc to start, there must be at least one domain set up in SM even if' it is just a placeholder. Thanks!

For anyone considering a product or service from Mail's Best Friend, I can vouch for their customer service.  It's unusual to have such great service from a vendor like this these days.  Ended up being a simple fix.

We have used Declude for over a decade.
Works really well for us.
