Can't delete "incoming gateway" in SmarterMail 15.x
Problem reported by Gabriele Maoret - 6/15/2016 at 6:24 AM
Resolved
I'm testing SmarterMail settings for Incoming Gateway.
Now the IncomingGateway created for testing is useless and i want to delete it, but it seems thet DELETE button is not functional and I can't delete it.

The version of SM is the latest 15.1.6005

Hi Gabriele, can you let me know what machine and browser (including version number) you're running?

SM is installed on Windows 2012 R2 clean installation dedicated to SM (no other software installed).
I'm using Chrome latest stable version as browser

Thank you for following up, Gabriele. I tried deleting an Incoming Gateway in my 15.0 installation, and I'm unable to as well. This does look to be a bug in the software. I'll pass along the info and will update you here when the issue has been resolved in a minor version release.

Thank you!

Here's a work around for you while this is in the process of being fixed: You can delete the Incoming Gateway entry by modifying your system files. Be sure to stop the SmarterMail service before editing any files. Then you can delete the appropriate <SmartHostServer> entry from the mailConfig.xml to remove the incoming gateway. Restart the SmarterMail service when you're done editing the file.

I hope this helps!

Gabriele,

I've just been informed this has been resolved in the software. The fix will be available in the next minor release of SmarterMail, which is currently unscheduled. Please keep an eye on our News Items or social media pages to be informed of the minor version release.

Thank you!

Hello.  I have a build that will fix this issue.  If you're experiencing this error, please uninstall your current version of SmarterMail (This will only uninstall the program files, mail data will not be affected), and then download and install this version.
