SM v 15.x and PO3 errors
Problem reported by John Archer - 4/15/2016 at 7:44 AM

I updated to the latest SM version 15.x on Monday this week. On Thursday this week POP3 started reporting issues via outlook on serval PCs. Not all PCs seem to be affected and this is common for MS Office 2007,2010 and 2013.
I have seen errors 0x80042108 & 0x800CCC90 & 0x800CCC0B,

I first thought it was due to MS updates applied tuesday night but found one PC with the same issue that had no MS updates since 9/2015 (today is Friday 4/15/2016). I then found MS updates were applied on the SM seerver (Win 2008 Std) that were also applied tuesday night as well. I am not using IIS as the web interface.

I have been backing out the server updates (9 total) with no success so far (one left to do).

Has any one else having issues?

I have backed out all server updates with no effect. My next step is to uninstall v15 and reinstall. I will do this tonight when all are out. What directories and/or files do I look for in a backup to restore so that recovery is easier. I am thinking of licensing abnd such assuming that user files and directories will remain???

We also started receiving strange POP3 errors last week. So far two clients report error 0x800CCC90. I have checked disk structure for corruption, checked logs, events, etc, nothing there.
