Attachment extension conversion/change
Question asked by Vahn Babigian - 12/15/2015 at 6:25 PM
Unanswered
We receive a number of emails from different sources with attachments ending in .AFC. These attachments are nothing more then text files, but browsers have a hard dealing with them. We usually have to download them then open them in wordpad or word prior to printing.

Is there a way to have Smartermail convert any attachments that come in the form name.AFC to name.txt, for example.

I can't speak to having SmarterMail convert the file name for you, but you can associated .AFC extensions to automatically use NOTEPAD to open the file.

Just download a file to your desktop, or another location, and then right click and select OPEN WITH.  Then select NOTEPAD and, before opening the file, click on the box, at the bottom left of the window, that allows you to "always use this program to open the file."
