Aliases: Internal only
Question asked by Martin Schaible - 12/14/2015 at 4:41 PM
Answered
I discovered a new option for aliases:
Internal only - Select this option to only allow emails to be received from addresses within the alias’ domain.

Honestly, i do not understand this option. Let's say, that the alias bobo@foobar.com receives mails. This alias will receive only mails directly adressed at bobo@foobar.com since ever.

Can this option explained more detailed? Woudl be great.

Cheers

Martin

This is only in SmarterMail 14.X, and when marked as "internal only" will only allow mail to be sent to the aliases from an e-mail address on the same domain.

Anything sent to them from "outside" -- eg: from another domain, is ignored.
