SM 14 and CalDav - what's the URL??
Question asked by Andrew DeMerchant - 6/19/2015 at 6:16 AM
Unanswered
I'm testing out SM14 in preparation for my upgrade from 13...I'm unable to get the CalDav working though. I can't find any up to date documentation on Caldav for SM14, so I'm assumin that the url fro 13 would be the right one to use...so that's "servername/webdav/cal" (had to leave out the http for posting to this forum, for some reason)

My account has a calendar, but when I go there I get a bad command. Obviously doesn't work in any programs/apps either, as a result. Now that it supports multiple calendars, do I need to add some sort of extra bit at the end to indicate which calendar to use??

You should be able to use http://example.com/WebDAV/ on most clients.
Thunderbird requires http://example.com/WebDAV/cal/default/

Neither are working for me, and both give 'bad command' from a browser...

Thunderbird's the only one I've tested so far, plus I've tried the URL via firefox

If you're using an iOS device you have to be on the latest SM 14 version (14.0.5647) for CalDAV to work. Previous versions would work on Adnroid devices and Thunderbird, but no iOS devices.

Still can't get this working....so, if you had 2 calendars set up, one named A and one named B, how would you add both of those to Thunderbird, for example?

If you are doing a non default calendar you have to do
http://example.com/WebDAV/cal/<theuid>/
Currently there is no way to grab the UID. Multiple calendars is unfortunately not supported on Thunderbird. I passed an idea along where we can put a button in the interface that will show the proper URL.

By default, there didn't seem to be *any* calendars, so maybe that's the problem (I made one)...how would I find the UID? Can I use the Web Services to figure it out?

The only way right now to see the UID is to create an event on that calendar then open the event and look at the url for cal=<uid>
