ClamSup & v14

Hello all,

A quick question, has the ClamSup integration that Joe documented so well been integrated into the v14 installation meaning no need to go through the installation and also sorting the Windows Scheduler for updates?

It has, SmarterMail will run ClamSup.bat automatically after running it's freshclam update. No installation needed besides turning on ClamAV in your settings, the first time it runs it can take a little bit as it will be pulling some pretty large databases.

Notice: The process has somewhat changed (as of June 12, 2015). Please see http://portal.smartertools.com/community/a86419/sm-14-clamsup-problems-and-how-to-fix-them-temporarily-at-least.aspx#90480 for the latest configuration updates. The paths may be different but the file names will remain the same.
Thanks, -Joe

It does seem that not enough was done around the ClamSup integration for v14.  Finding out that Joe Wolf wasn't involved certainly does make me think twice about upgrading our servers.

The problem was really introduced by one of the signature database providers requiring an account. I wouldn't blame SmarterTools for this one. My original ClamSup would have the same problem and needs the same fixes. The difference between my version of SlamSup and that provided in SM 14 is that SmarterTools opted out of a few of the signature databases I was using, but I don't consider that a major issue.
Thanks, -Joe
