Outlook IMAP errors
Problem reported by SmarterUser - 5/12/2015 at 6:04 AM
Submitted
Following a recent migration and version upgrade (12.x to 13.4.5598), several users are reporting random, relatively infrequent, IMAP UID errors in Outlook.  A typical error shows something like this:

MsgSeqNum 3532, New UID 355. Prev UID: 3550, Next UID: 3552.

with an error code of 0x800CCCDC.

Anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

Upgrade to 13.4.5603, released a few days ago.

Version 13.4.5603 (2015-05-07) [https://www.smartertools.com/smartermail/releasenotes/v13.aspx]

  • Fixed: Updated an area of IMAP processing to prevent a potential timing issue that would cause parsing of incoming commands to fail.

Thanks, Bruce.  I missed this update.  I thought ST used to post messages here when updates were released.

Good point, I actually missed it, too, because I'm running 14.0 BETA.  I happened to know it was there because we're moving a client's SmarterMail server this morning [data center A to data center B] and then upgrading from your version to 13.4.5603 tonight.
