[#KBSEARCHRESULTS#] in auto responder email not working in V11

I have added [#KBSEARCHRESULTS#] variable to my auto responder, but when the email is sent nothing appears, not even the link to the KB root. The subject nd body of my email described articles in the KB.
Raising a ticket from this portal or via chat does return the articles, so jsut seems to be with the auto responder email.
