Hyperlink permissions

How come I cannot post hyperlinks in messages here? I've been a registered SM license holder since version 6.
 
When trying to post a link I get a message saying my account doesn't have permissions to post hyperlinks. Pretty annoying since the spammers seem to have no issue getting their posts to go through.
