Impersonating Email Addresses containing an ampersand
Problem reported by Scarab - 11/3/2014 at 12:36 PM
Resolved
Discovered that our customers with Ampersand (&) characters in their email address (i.e. a&b@example.com) can login to webmail just fine but an Administrator cannot impersonate these users. Attempting to Impersonate User for one of these addresses will result in "User Not Found" errors.

A temporary workaround to this issue is to Percent-Encode the address in the Impersonate User field (i.e. a%26b@example.com).

SmarterMail Enterprise version 12.3.5318.

I was able to replicate this bug using an ampersand in the username and I have added this to our bug list. We should have this fixed in a future minor release.

We have a fix for this issue and you should be able to see it working in the next minor release for 12.x and 13.x.
