SmaterMail Web Interface Search bug when using brackets

Not A Problem
SmarterMail Enterprise Edition Version 13.2.5511  /  Chrome Version 41.0.2272.118
 
When using a search term with brackets " [sometext] " , the search hangs and locks up.
Closing Chrome is the only way to get SmarterMail back up and running.

Ravi, I have been unable to duplicate the issue where Chrome hangs when performing a search with a term enclosed within brackets.  I tested it both the default search and also the advanced search.
 
You may want to reindex the account and re-test.  If that does not solve the issue, you may need to open a support ticket.

Applies to SmarterMail 8.x - 13.x

  1. Log in to SmarterMail as the domain administrator.
  2. Select the desired Domain and choose the Manage option on top of the menu bar or right click on the Domain.
  3. Click the Settings icon.
  4. Expand the Domain Settings folder in the navigation pane and click Users. A list of users on the domain will load in the content pane.
  5. Select the desired user and click Reindex in the content pane toolbar.
