We have a few distribution lists that are being serviced by SmarterMail 13.

 

I have been requested to collect all of the email sent to key distribution lists and to provide read-only access to the lists emails once a user logs in. Similar to what you can do with MailMan - http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/

 

I can create an email user on the server and add them to the list, but how can I lock down that user account so that if they log in, they can only read the emails sent to the list?

 

Or is there another external solution that I can leverage to accomplish this without having to move all of the distribution list processing to an external list server like MailMan?

 

I'd like to be able to host the solution on my Windows server and not have to spin up a separate Linux box if possible.

 

I found a list of email archiving products, but I'm not familiar with any of them. Not sure if they'd fit the bill.
