- Log out of the user's account.
- Stop the SmarterMail service.
- Delete the file, "mailbox.cfg," found in the directory which contains the files for the folder with the "missing e-mail"
- Start the SmarterMail service
- Log back into the user's e-mail account
- The mail should all be back.
