Hi Thomas.  In the Event viewer, do you see any .NET errors just prior to the MailService process stopping?  If so, then I would completely reinstall the .NET Framework, including any optional updates found in Windows Updates.

When I download and install the .NET package the system says it is already installed.  It seems that the w2k12 server with 4.0 .NET is a completely different animal.  Any ideas?
