Modify default custom report or create a new global one

We would like to be able to modify the content of one of the default globally-created custom reports, or, alternatively, be able to add a new one with our own set of parameters. I've modified several of SmarterStats's xml files to get report items to behave the way the company owner desires (eg, remove "hits" from reports etc, all simple stuff), however, I cannot find an xml template for the default custom reports. Anyone know where this may be hidden?

I can see in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterStats\MRS\App_Data\Config\Sites that there is an xml file for each of the sites, and while I could write software to go in and edit each one of those (xml objects etc...), but I'm wondering if each of those files is maybe created from a master template. I'm beginning to think those files are created by the smarterstats software internally and not from a template (since there is a unique GUID on each and every single item...), and that would be a bummer.

Any thoughts on this? The owner sets up his own custom report for each domain, and its a tedious process which can only be done manually. If there was a master xml file then it would be easy to modify that.

Thanks!
steve.
