Spam Settings Backup
Idea shared by Craig Severance - 7/3/2014 at 7:55 AM
Completed
We have had smartertools modify our spam settings due to lack of ability or understanding on how to modify them ourselves so that we can control our spam. We have found that it would be nice to have the ability to backup current spam settings as a file so that we can test other configurations to determine the best set for our needs. Currently we have to try to remember what the settings were and hope that we have not made any mistakes to them. If there was a way to backup current settings and then make changes and save those settings with unique names we could make changes to the settings without wiping out the ones that worked while possibly reducing our protection. This way if we find we need to go back to a previous setting we can do that with a couple of mouse clicks.

Hi Craig,

The ability to export the spam configuration file was added in SmarterMail 15.x and has carried over to the Current Build. Prior to work being done on the server, you can export the spam config file. If you need to revert, you can always import the file to revert the configuration back to what it was.
