Domain Key Signing Issue
Question asked by Elbert Cook - 1/5/2015 at 2:35 PM
Answered
If I login to the web interface SmarterMail and send an email, its adds the "Domain Key Signature", and various "Domain Key Signature" validation websites confirms that the DKS passes.

However, if I send a email from Outlook 2003/2007/2010 IMAP account, the "Domain Key Signature" doesn't get added, and validation fails.

Can SmarterMail be configured to add the "Domain Key Signature" to Outlook generated emails?

Thanks,

PS. I have an internal DNS record for our SPF and those test pass whether send via SmarterMail web interface or Outlook.

Hi Elbert,

Make sure the email client is using SMTP authentication as SmarterMail will not sign the email when not authenticating.
