Hi Jeff,

 

You would typically create a username and password for the System Administrator before SmarterMail asks you to log in. I'm not sure what caused you to have to log in first, but Joe is correct that the default Sys Admin username and password is "admin" for both, without the quotes.

 

Once logged in you can change these in the setup wizard or in the webmail interface.
