I am an administrator on our account and I can not make some changes I am working on because an error message pops up that says I have to have a special character in my password.  My password has a special character and I have no problem logging in I just can't make some changes I am working on.  Other users are having this same error.  Please help.

I have found we are having a similar issue. If our users use a symbol such as (:,;,") it does not count as a symbol and is requiring they change their password. If they use a (!,@, etc) it works without an issue.

I have a "!" in mine and it didn't work.  Today it works.  Not sure what will happen tomorrow.

The following are accepted special characters:  ` (grave accent) ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + [ { } ] \ | < , . > / ? (space)
The semicolon, colon, and quote (double and single) are not currently recognized as special characters.

Maybe there could be an additional setting in SmarterMail for this to allow admins adding additional characters to be counted as special characters?

We have added the semi-colon, colon, single quote and double quote to the list of acceptable special characters.  It will be included in the next minor release.
