I think this would be a nice feature if smartermail had ability to store old emails in compressed format to save disk space per user. This could be a special folder called "Archive". All messages moved to this folder would be compressed and indexed, This could works similar to "Message Archive" feature. When user want to retrieve message from archive, message would be moved to original or alternate folder.
