Whitelisting domains
Question asked by Gary P - 4/17/2024 at 7:39 AM
Unanswered
We have a client that wants to add a huge list of domains to their white list (3000+) . I have advised that this is maybe not the best idea, however:

Is their a limit to the number of domains that can be added?
Is their a limit to how many can be pasted in at the same time?
Will this have a severe effect on CPU and general incoming mail spool?

Hello Gary,

I have not run in to a limit yet in this area. We have noticed performance issues in the past with huge whitelists, blacklists. We have added optimizations here but you still may see some issues with list that size that will need to be checked on ever incoming connection.

You should be able to paste the entire list in to the text box.

Hi Tony,
Wondering what's considered a huge blacklist, noticed we have over 15000 IP's blacklisted now!
Cant see it ever being cleaned up either,
