Rework the IP whitelistings for spam checks
Idea shared by echoDreamz - 10/2/2017 at 10:27 AM
Proposed
Currently SmarterMail has a blanket "Disable spam filtering on SMTP whitelisted addresses" option. Which IMO is silly... Some IPs we simply whitelist so they do not get IDS triggered, others we do not want any spam checks executed on, however, SmarterMail is all or nothing at this point.

Would be great to add another option to the IP whitelist called "Spam Filtering" next to the SMTP, POP, IMAP etc. options. So we can enable / disable spam checks per entry rather than a blanket option which really is useless.

Chris, agree 100%. This sounded familiar so I dug around and found this post from 2 years ago:

I'll vote for yours if you vote for mine. :)  Hopefully ST will get the message.

Maybe SM hopes it they ignore it long enough it will go away. If all else fails, purge the blog and start over.

I submitted a ticket, was told it was added as a feature request for v17.

Yeah, found and reported a vulnerability (IMO), was told it's on the list for v17. Seems to be the standard answer.

I've found quite a few threads here about features being added to x build, x build comes and nothing.
