Although there are many useful implementation for SmarterTrack's events systems, some companies may wish to disable it. To prevent agents from accessing and using the events system, the administrator just needs to edit the role permissions.

Applies to SmarterTrack 11.x-12.x

Follow these steps to disable agent access to the events system:

  1. Log in to the SmarterTrack management interface as a system administrator.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Expand the Manage folder.
  4. Click Roles in the navigation pane. A list of available roles will load in the content pane.
  5. Select the desired role (in this example, Agent) and click Edit.
  6. Click the Options tab.
  7. In the Events field, select Custom from the list. This will enable the Events tab.
  8. Click the Events tab.
  9. To disable the role from using the events system, uncheck the Access the events system checkbox.
  10. Click Save.

Applies to SmarterTrack 6.x - 10.x

Follow these steps to disable agent access to the events system:

  1. Log in to the SmarterTrack management interface as an administrator.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Expand the System Settings and Organization folders.
  4. Click Roles in the navigation pane. A list of available roles will load in the content pane.
  5. Select the desired role (in this example, Agent) and click Edit.
  6. Click the Options tab.
  7. In the Events field, select Custom from the list. This will enable the Events tab.
  8. Click the Events tab.
  9. To disable the role from using the events system, uncheck the Access the events system checkbox.
  10. Click Save.
