ClamAV 3310 Errors in Delivery Logs

The steps below can help When experiencing ClamAV 3310 errors or seeing the following entries in your delivery logs:

To solve this problem, make sure that you have the Microsoft 2010 C++ Redistributable Packages installed, which are available here:
If you continue to experience ClamAV issues afterwards, then perform the following:
  1. Stop the SmarterMail Service
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\Service\Clam\etc
  3. Delete clamd.conf and freshclam.conf
  4. Restart the SmarterMail service
