Outlook 2013 Contact Groups Not Supported by EAS

Using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) users can sync their emails, contacts, calendars, notes and tasks to Outlook 2013. The steps on this can be configured are found in the KB article Setting up Outlook 2013 Using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. 

 

It's been asked whether Outlook Contact Groups can also be synced with SmarterMail. Contact Groups cannot be synced to SmarterMail as this functionality is not currently available with EAS. Microsoft's Support pages offer more information on this: You cannot create Outlook 2013 Contact Groups when connected to an EAS account.
