Still need SmarterMail Provided Push Gateway for eM Client

I've mentioned this before. Now that 3x Yandex Data Centers have been taken off line we see more than ever that Data Centers are targets.  Some folks are suggesting their are ~30 more to go. We also saw AWS go off line in the Middle East as well plus Fiber Optic lines have been intentionally taken off line too.

We should NOT be dependent on eM Client's EU Middleware. The internet is redundant only if we implement redundant services  -- can anyone say "DNS"?

I would rather see eM Client provide to SmarterMail a way to have our own sovereign Push Middleware for our clients using eM Client even if its only a Linux only solution -- we can VM it! Also, Push Middleware should include HA support out the box.

But there shouldnt be middleware at all.... it should be under our and our clients full control.

eM Client only uses servers with their mobile client, and even then they only use them to help provide on-device notifications when the client is closed. Effectively, this means that if their servers become unreachable, the mobile client will continue to work, you just won't get notifications on your device for new messages.

This kind of behavior is common for third party email clients and is necessary because of the restrictions that mobile operating systems have for providing notifications when an app is closed.
