Brute force by IP Firing with latest 9735

I upgraded to the latest version of Smartermail 9735. The update seemed to go fine.
I did the upgrade last night, today I have at least one client reaching out that their outlook client sometime sends email and sometimes fails, it seemed to be intermittent. I have traced it to Brute force attempt by IP.  I went through the logs for the ip addresses that is getting blocked. last two days has been fine, after upgrade it is now getting blocked. Dose anyone know if anything changed regarding this security feature? My settings were logins before block: 20, timeframe:10 minutes. These have been the settings I have used for a long time.

Did this user have 2FA enabled and use App Passwords? I only ask as an exclusion was made to IDS to prevent this from happening.

If they did NOT use App Passwords, we may want a ticket to dig into it a bit more.

Hi Derek,

No 2FA

I have adjusted the settings to this and it seems to be fine now.  logins before block ip:30 and Time Frame: 5 Mnitues.
