Outlook Classic via MAPI stops receiving new messages into Inbox - anyone else seeing this?

We are seeing an issue with Outlook Classic using SmarterMail via MAPI. Running version 9581 on Windows.

Outlook stops receiving new messages into the Inbox across all configured accounts, with no error shown.

Removing and re-adding the Outlook profile causes previously missing messages to reappear up to that point, but new messages still do not arrive afterwards.

Recreating the Outlook profile therefore does not resolve the issue.

IMAP accounts appear unaffected.

Has anyone else seen similar behaviour with Outlook Classic and SmarterMail MAPI, or found a cause or workaround?
