When tying ourselves to some services like Proofpoint for spam filtering, they have tight tolerances for what certs we can or cannot use (RSA/ECDSA). In WinAcme/Certbot its a simple flag command line flag--Would it be possible to have a toggle added to smartermail that lets us decide if we get RSA or ECDSA certs generated?

As it is right now, as much as the Auto-Cert function in smartermail is nice, I have to create certs outside of it using WinAcme, which is undesirable for reasons outside the scope of this post.
