Getting error when trying to set SmarterMail to be default email server

Hello,
I installed SmarterMail on a GoDaddy Windows 2022 VPS running Plesk 18.0.48.

While Plesk recognizes the SmarterMail installation, I encounter an error when trying to set it as the active mail server.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!.

While the error is happening during activation of SmarterMail, the process that is failing looks to be a utility in Plesk that they use to make configuration changes. I think your best bet might be starting with Plesk to see if they can point to more detailed log locations which may provide hints as to why flipping that switch is failing. The other thing that might help is attempting to make that switch, then checking the Event Viewer in Windows for any Errors/Warnings pertaining to that exe. I hope that helps!

I took a quick look at the Plesk documentation, and I suspect that your problem is related to a version incompatibility. According to their documentation, version 18 of Plesk only supports using SmarterMail 15 and later. I've included a link to the relevant page below.
