How do I search for a whole word ?
I am looking for a persons name in 26,000 emails. I only remember her first name - "Rose" So, I search for :
  • "rose " (with a space after - BUT no quotes) and instead of giving me words that END in rose (with a space following it) It instead ignores the space and includes unwanted results like "Proservice" where rose is in the middle of the word. thousands of ressults
  • Wrapping it in quotes then gets ZERO results. it appears to search for the quotes, but ignores the space
  • searching for "rose." (with a period after - BUT no quotes) assuming it may be part of her email address, the period is ignored and I get the same results as the space search.
so... HOW Do I do a search for a word and exclude results where the search word is contained in the middle of something else ?

Does the search work better in any newer versions / builds ?

There needs to be some "simple search options" or better recognition of quotes being used to wrap something with a trailing space (or even regular expression option).

Even if you just stopped stripping "leading or trailing spaces" from search - I mean that's a basic one.  Or how about having an option of what field we're searching - header, body, etc.
