Pagination/ load some x number of mails per page instead of reading and displaying all mails.

Is there any provision for pagination of inbox/sent items ?

We have a domain with 20000 users. We are getting complaints regularly about the inbox is not loading/very slow to load.

When a folder is first opened, the browser retrieves a count of messages in the folder and summary details for a portion of those messages. As a user scrolls through the message list, additional summary details are retrieved and displayed as necessary to provide a continuous scrolling experience. Effectively, data is retrieved from the server in a paginated manner, even though it is displayed continuously.

That doesn't seem to be a problem with the number of emails loaded in INBOX...

I have users with over 100,000 emails in their inbox (over 60,000 unread...) and webmail loads almost instantly...

Tried a few seconds ago with a couple of users...

Did some testing again today. Observed that the contact list is loading on every page refresh that is taking good 20seconds. New mail window downloading the contact list for every new mail which is making the servers unusable. Is there anyway that we can restrict downloading the contacts/gal on every page refresh/new mail window ?

The hardware in question is.

AWS, r7i.16xlarge, 64 vCpus/512Gb Ram
6 Static IPS, out of them 4 assigned for MX.
C: IO2, 8000 IOPS, 512GB
D: IO2, 80000 IOPS, 42TB.
Total domains 47.
Client systems i7/Ultra 1/32Gb Ram, 1 Tb SSd having internet speed of 200mbps leased lines (2). Concurrent users on same premises100.

I don't think the issue is with the hardware as Support always says.

So, if I understand it well, it seems to be an issue related to the loading of the contact list, not the INBOX showing too much elements...

Can you confirm that?
