IMAP in Outlook 2019. Folder names in mixed languages

Hi,

setup a smartermail-account as IMAP in Outlook 2019. Unfortunately the folder names are in mixed languages. (I switched the language in settings->accounts to german)

In smartermail/webmail I see all folders in english.

In Outlook Inbox is in german. All other folders are in english. But there are no duplicates

can you post some images to let me understand?

BTW, with IMAP, only INBOX is translated in Outlook, the other folders are in english.

Its exactly as in your picture. INBOX is in German, all other in english.

But I just found a solution in the web:

Outlook tips at the end
If you see a mixture of English and German folder names in an IMAP account, try the following in Outlook, which according to the Microsoft community has helped several users: Open File/Account Settings/Account Settings. Click on your account and then on the Change button. Now go to More Settings and then to the Advanced tab. Can you find a root folder path here? Type in the name INBOX and complete the process via Next and OK/Save.

This worked for me pretty good :-)
