Issue: Unable to Migrate Emails from Gmail to SmarterMail via Mail Migration

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to migrate around 50 email accounts from Gmail to SmarterMail using the built-in mail migration tool, but I'm running into issues. The migration isn't completing, and some accounts fail to authenticate.

✅ IMAP is enabled in Gmail

Has anyone successfully migrated from Gmail to SmarterMail? Are there any workarounds or tools that worked for you?

One option: I'm tried using IMAPSync/IMAPCopy to transfer emails manually, Still he migration isn't completing, and says failed to connect to IMAP Server.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When you say it is "not completing", Is it moving some emails and getting stuck and not completing, or it is not moving anything at all ?

I mean none of the emails are migrating. Says Authentication with IMAP Server failed. My email address, password is correct and i have disable 2FA too.

Thanks for reaching out to the community. To get this to work, you must generate an app password for your Gmail account. Then, use that app password to authenticate. https://knowledge.workspace.google.com/kb/how-to-create-app-passwords-000009237
